HERKULES-WARTBURG CYCLE TRACK

Bild
Is there anybody who doesn’t know them? The imposing Hercules, the famous landmark of Kassel, keeping watch over the baroque mountain park and Wilhelmshöhe Castle at its feet, or the Wartburg, UNESCO world’s cultural heritage, standing proudly and visible from far above the culture town Eisenach, the native town of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Both highlights are connected by the Hercules-Wartburg cycle track, guiding the bikers in a circular course with a length of 215 km across the impressive river and valley landscapes of Losse, Wehre and Werra, across the Ringgau and the magical landscape of Frau Holle’s mountain, the Hohe Meißner.

Just in passing, you will “experience” romantic half-timbering towns and villages inviting for rest and relax. Also the cultural offer alongside the course is worth seeing. A particularly eventful combination possibility for results from the integration of the Werra-Fulda circular cycling tour, connecting the most beautiful sections of the Werratal and Fulda cycle track to a circular cycling course with a length of 190 km.

Impressive parks, imposing castles, historical places, monasteries in good condition, and a varied museum landscape – all that is waiting to be discovered by bike. The cycling map for the Hercules-Wartburg cycle track will get you there safely.
